grey seal

Photo identification work by Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust (https://www.cornwallsealgroup.co.uk/) has shown that North Devon is an important stopping off point for Grey Seals moving between South Wales and North Cornwall.

Each grey seal has an unique fur pattern, that allows them to be identified as individuals without disturbing them.  The UK is home to 38% of the entire world’s population of grey seals, based on pup production
